The Netgear represents two of the mesh brand series one is Nighthawk and other is Orbi. Both have their respective series and one of the Orbi series is Orbi 370. Here, you will get to know about the BE5000 network model mesh system.
This Netgear Orbi BE5000 setup will include whole connection instructions, Orbi app & Orbi login (orbilogin.net) configuration, and troubleshooting tips.
Use the Ethernet cable (the yellow one, usually) from the modem’s main port to the Orbi’s WAN/Internet port. Power the Orbi on. Let it do its little light show.
If Orbi’s ring light goes solid white and then amber or magenta, that’s a connection issue. Solid blue means you’re good. If you’re still getting magenta after a reboot, your modem might need to be in bridge mode, or you’ve got a MAC address binding problem with your ISP.
plug in the satellite, watch the light on top. If it’s blinking white, that means it’s looking for the router. Hit the Sync button on the router, then within a few seconds hit the Sync button on the satellite.
If you get a solid blue light after a bit, congrats, you’re done. If it goes amber, it’s a weak connection – try moving the satellite closer. Magenta? They’re not talking at all. That’s when I usually factory reset the satellite (paperclip in the little hole until it flashes) and start over.
If you’ve got satellites, plug them in now, before you finish the app wizard. They’ll sync automatically if you wait long enough.
The app will push a firmware update almost immediately after setup. Let it. Don’t power cycle. Mine took 6 minutes and the app looked frozen, but it wasn’t.
Either use the Ethernet cable into your laptop or hop on the default Wi-Fi name that’s on the sticker underneath.
Go to orbilogin.net in your browser. If that doesn’t work, just use the IP: usually 192.168.1.1. You’ll get the Orbi router login screen. Username is almost always admin. Password is on the same sticker I mentioned earlier.
The first time you log in, it’ll probably throw you into a “setup wizard” whether you want it or not. Let it run. Pick your Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password. Make them something you’ll actually remember but not “password123” because come on.
If you’re on a basic ISP connection, it’ll probably auto-detect everything. Cool, let it.
If you’ve got something weird like a static IP or PPPoE, you’ll need your ISP info. Dig through your emails or call them if you have to.
Hit Apply. The Orbi will reboot. Grab your phone, connect to your new Wi-Fi, run a speed test.
If you’re not seeing internet, check your modem connection.
Hope, you have seen and read all about the Orbi BE5000 setup and configuration. And now connected to extended and fast internet connection.
